Do Something Different

In just under two weeks time I will have the opportunity to do something I have never before been able to do. I will be able to vote Green in a General Election. Of course I would not have considered voting Green for most of my life, but that’s not the point.

The constituency is Ilford North. The defending MP is Lee Scott, a Conservative, and the main challenger is Sonia Klein for Labour. I quite like both of them but they are not getting my X.

That goes to Caroline Allen. She’s “All Creatures Great and Small” i.e. a Vet. I met her yesterday, at the Hustings in the Baptist Church. Apart from giving a solid performance to an audience, who were, for the most part, already committed, she did something that really caught my eye.

She was wearing Green Heels and as regular readers will know I put great store in those detailed touches of sartorial elegance.
